Jon has been a Fitness Personal Trainer since 2002, after teaching P.E. in a Birmingham school for 7 years.In 1994, he graduated with a Bachelor (Hons) degree in Sport and Human Movement studies from Cardiff Institute part of Cardiff Metropolitan University, with a PGCE (PE) secondary the following year.Between 1995 and 2002, he was a PE teacher in Birmingham. During his 7 years there, he was selected as a mentor to motivate university students training to qualify as PE teachers.

Due to his vast experience in sports training, and wellness coaching, he was recommended to start the personal training Certificate at a higher level.Jon practices what he preaches. As an international swimmer, he represented Gibraltar in many events, most notably in 2 Commonwealth Games; Auckland 1990 (where he won his heat in the 100 metres butterfly) and Victoria 1994. In 1991, he won the gold medal for the 200 metres butterfly at the Island Games.

A more recent achievement was in June 2010, when he became the first Gibraltarian to swim across the straits of Gibraltar, as he raised funds for charities. In 2002, Jon relocated to Gibraltar where ever since he has working as a Fitness Personal Trainer guiding commited clients to improving their lifestyles through a consistent healthy exercise regime.
